Hi there—we're Erin and Shawn, the husband-and-wife duo behind Ranch Junkie Mercantile.
We started Ranch Junkie back in 2017 with a simple goal: to turn our passion for handcrafted goods and rustic design into a business that celebrates quality, heritage, and heart. What began in our home—handcrafting our very first products—has grown into a small but mighty family-run brand fueled by a lot of late nights, hard work, and love.
Almost everything we offer is handmade, either by us or by incredibly talented artisans we’ve partnered with near and far. From full-grain leather goods to rustic farmhouse-style décor, each piece is thoughtfully designed to blend heritage and modernity—capturing the spirit of Western culture while maintaining a refined, luxurious feel.
We do everything ourselves—product development, photography, sourcing materials, customer service, even packing and shipping. And yes, sometimes our two kids are our best little helpers. We truly are a small business in every sense of the word, and we’re proud of it.
Our journey started long before Ranch Junkie. I (Erin) grew up in Fredericksburg, Texas, and have always had a love for creative projects—something I definitely picked up from my DIY-loving grandmother. I spent nearly a decade as a senior product and brand manager for a Fortune 500 company before deciding to stay home with our babies and eventually start this business.
Shawn was born and raised in southeast Texas and learned the art of woodworking from his grandfather, who passed down not only skills but a love for building things with care. After 15 years as a Managing Director at a Fortune 500 company, Shawn traded in the corporate life to pour his heart into Ranch Junkie full-time.
We met in college at Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas—fittingly known as the Rodeo Capital of the World—and we’ve been inseparable ever since.
And why the name Ranch Junkie? Our ranch in the Texas Hill Country is our happy place—our source of peace, inspiration, and creativity. It reflects who we are and what we love: the rugged beauty of the land, the quiet strength of tradition, and the joy of simple living. The name felt like the perfect fit for the lifestyle we live and the products we create.
